Academicians represent the key factor in providing education service to students and universities cannot work well without academicians. This study aimed examine influence of human resource practices (HR practices) on employee engagement among academicians Malaysian private universities. paper examined four HR practices, namely compensation, performance appraisal, training, development. The conceptual framework developed for this fully understand engagement. Self-administered questionnaires were distributed using proportional stratified random sampling technique. was conducted 331 respondents. Pearson Correlation Coefficient Multiple Linear Regression Analysis performed with SPSS test hypotheses secure results. results indicated that each practice (performance development) has significant impact could provide useful information decision-makers designing more appropriate effective improve government, improving employment acts, policies or legislation related
